A True Order When I Eat in a Restaurant!

Restaurants are a tricky part to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Restaurant meals are body fat bombs waiting to land. However, restaurants are a large part of our culture to socialize and go, go, go all the time. So let’s strategize…

It is best to go to restaurants that have a scratch kitchen. Ensure that a waiter or waitress is helping you in answering questions and able to make alterations to the menu choices.

Don’t be afraid to speak up! In a restaurant, my typical order is seafood with any sauce on the side, double vegetables no starch, and a side salad to start. Don’t add salt to the meal (trust me there is still plenty that I taste). No salad dressing just slices of lemon. Finally, I am ALLERGIC to gluten so preparation really does matter. Once I finish my paragraph, I smile really big and say Thank You! 99.9% of the time my meal comes out just as I asked.

So don’t be fearful, just be specific when it comes to restaurant ordering. The worst thing the chef can say it isn’t possible…but typically it is! Right after dinner following our Fjord Wildlife Boat Trip I had a huge smile on my face from the delicious meal below. west coast vacation 246

On our trip to Vancouver & Seattle, WA – Vancouver, B.C. – & Alaska here are is a meal that came out as I requested plus a little extra to share:
