Did You Feel Refreshed this Morning When You Woke Up? Do you feel you have trouble concentrating? Do you feel forgetful? Do you feel irritable? If you answered yes to any one of these, how many hours of sleep did you get in the past four nights? Sleep is such an important aspect of our lives…however, if we have too much going on or are very stressed, sleep is one thing that is bypassed or becomes restless. So let’s discuss why you need to focus on improving your nighttime routine.
Yes 4-H fairs are fast approaching & I would love for you to visit our friends & neighbors who take part in it….but do not let the fair wreak havoc on your HEALTHY progress! I commonly say moderation is key, however do not allow—especially in the summer when there are more weekends, birthdays, weddings, & yes the fairs--all the “special occasions” to become too plentiful. These occasions can become an excuse to why poor eating becomes regular habits. You are working daily on letting these fall by the wayside & inputting the healthy actions.
Who has every heard of how to incorporate Rosemary for flavor into a meal? Rosemary is a forgotten herb that tends to not get enough appreciation for its health benefiting properties! It is one of the herbs in an Italian seasoning, but it is time to sprinkle it on its own accord. Personally, it is one of my favorites. I always feel a little smarter after eating it!

Need something quick and easy? Grab ½ pear , 1/4c. pecans, 1 tsp. cinnamon, and 2 T of honey. Mix the honey, pecans, and cinnamon. Core a half a pear and place honey and pecans inside. Enjoy!

I will be happy.” If only I can fit into those jeans again, my husband will find me attractive.” If only – if only – if only, these “if onlys” make our desires and dreams so far reaching. These sorts of statements make us feel inferior. If we feel inferior we lose our confidence to actually make the change we want!
