When was the last time you remember you laughed so uncontrollably? Who was it? What were you laughing about?
Mine, you ask? Last Friday! I hosted a Girls and Games night. I needed a night to just wind down with close friends and do an activity that we don't typically do---yes card games. It was a night to remember. Did you know laughter is a great calorie burn?
Besides the downside of smelly breath, Garlic has great health benefits. It can be used in many ways, in multiple parts of our diets. For anyone who knows me, I waft with the smell of garlic whenever I am cooking! Fresh garlic has so much more flavor and health benefits than the jar garlic. My typical Wednesday is a whirl wind -- I wake up at 4:15am, leave the house at 5:15am to coach all day. I get home at 5pm and the last thing I want to do is exercise though I know this will make me feel so much better and less stressed! However, I am sure you have heard differing stories on the health levels of Greek yogurt and you are probably wondering which is true. You’re not alone! Over the past year or so more and more brands of yogurts are added to the grocery shelves. Crazy kinds, ingredients, and sugars are all increasing confusion and curiosity. Here are tips for Greek Yogurt to be a healthy part of your day, not a desert!
Whenever I coach, I repeat 'eat nuts and seeds' frequently! But one seed I typically forget about is pumpkin seeds. Probably because we are out of pumpkin season, but no longer should let this stop us! When was the last time you had pumpkin seeds on your salad, in your granola, or eaten plain?
Reasons why you should start crunching on these seeds:
Next weekend is the Super Bowl where we all gather to support our favorite team and watch the very expensive commercials. However, there is bound to be plenty of food to tempt us so we must plan ahead. We could easily munch mindlessly without a plan...too bad this post is full of tasty tips to chew on!
•Watch the game, don’t tackle the food buffet! Go into the environment with a game plan on how much you will allow yourself to eat & then roll out your defense to tackle peer pressure and cravings. Win with your willpower on top.
